Effects of sulindac on renal function and prostaglandin synthesis in patients with moderate chronic renal insufficiency.
The renal effects of therapeutic doses of sulindac were studied in nine patients with stable renal insufficiency, mean creatinine clearance 37.0 +/- 2.2 ml min-1 1.73 m-2 (range 24.7-54.6 ml min-1 1.73 m-2). Nine days' treatment with sulindac produced a small, but significant, reduction in the mean creatinine clearance (37.0 +/- 2.2 to 34.7 +/- 2.2 ml min-1 1.73 m-2; P less than 0.02) and 99mTc...
متن کاملcompactifications and function spaces on weighted semigruops
chapter one is devoted to a moderate discussion on preliminaries, according to our requirements. chapter two which is based on our work in (24) is devoted introducting weighted semigroups (s, w), and studying some famous function spaces on them, especially the relations between go (s, w) and other function speces are invesigated. in fact this chapter is a complement to (32). one of the main fea...

As lactating cows in severe negative energy balance have poor reproductive performance, the effect of dietary fat supplementation (fish oil, soybean oil) on PGFM secretion, ovarian function and blood metabolites is investigated. In this experiment, the effects of dietary polyunsaturated fatty acids on plasma metabolites, ovarian function and prostaglandin secretion of 20 primiparous Holstein co...
متن کاملEffects of prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors on the renin-angiotensin system and renal function.
Equal doses (8 mg/kg) of the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs indomethacin, naproxen, and sulindac and a large dose of sulindac (32 mg/kg) were administered intragastrically to conscious rats after a normal sodium diet, furosemide stimulation, and a low sodium diet for 8 days. Indomethacin, naproxen, and the high dose sulindac (32 mg/kg) decreased urinary prostaglandin E2 excretion significa...
متن کاملPrevalence of herpes simplex virus type 1 and 2 infections in renal transplant recipients and their renal function
Background and Objectives: Viral infections are a major problem for transplant recipients. Reactivation of viruses is associated with the use of strong immunosuppressive drugs. Herpes simplex virus infections in renal transplant patients may become severe without treatment. Although the prevalence and role of herpes simplex viruses 1 and 2 in bone marrow and lung recipients are well known; howe...
